Hi, Anna here!
It’s been a while as it’s been none stop here!
Let’s start with the big news, I am an Auntie! Broom had her foal and he is lovely. Everyone is so excited and he is doing really well. He doesn’t have a name yet, but we had a "Name the Foal” Competition, so all will be revealed soon! I had some great ideas, but Alistair said I am not allowed to enter! Oh well.
Well I had a very exciting weekend down at the National Shire Horse Show in Stafford. On the first day I met royalty! HRH the Countess of Wessex and she was lovely. She stroked me and chatted to Alistair who told her all about me and my late Dad, Moorfield Edward. Why was I meeting royalty you might ask?
Well it is the Shire Horse Society’s 140 year anniversary this year and to celebrate Moorcroft Pottery have produced a limited edition vase…. And do you know what the best bit is? I am on it!
On the Sunday of the
show I was back to defend my title as Supreme Female Champion, which I have held for 2 years now. I came reserve champion, to you and me that means second in the overall Championship. I can’t say I was not disappointed but Alistair said he was still very proud of me, he also said something about the how the judges should have gone to Specsavers, but I have no idea what that means!
Well, more excitement to come as Angel due very soon.
Don’t forget, come and say hi when you are next at the centre and any gossip you have, I promise I won’t tell.
Until next time…
