Hello for the first time in 2018! It was a cold wet January, but it looks like things are about to get a bit milder.
So what is new around here. As you probably already know we are gearing up for foal watch with Broom due in just over a month, it’s so exciting!
Me and Broom are half sisters and although I am very supportive, I am getting a bit bit broody myself. Alistair says if everything is ok with Broom, he might find me a boyfriend!
I have been asked to sort out the "foal shower”, I don’t know where to start to be honest. I think we will play some games, like guess the sex, weight and date the foal is born and I suppose we better get some presents sorted. I think I will nip to the gift shop and see what there is.
Also in March is the National Shire Horse Show, where I will be hoping to make it a hat-trick of Supreme Female Champion awards. I don’t want to count my chickens (although at Cotebrook we do spend a lot of time counting chickens!) Alistair believes in me and that's enough, all I can do is my best.
It’s a very early start when we go to Stafford for the show so I need to make sure I start to get enough beauty sleep.
Well, I think I will start now by taking a nap, hope to see you soon for a catch up and gossip. Don’t forget a full price admission gets you unlimited free return visits for a whole month! Gives us a chance to get well acquainted!
See you soon
