It’s the most wonderful time of the year…. Or so the song goes!
Have you all got advent calendars? I’ve got one of those where you get a little chocolate each day. I have to say I’m a little disappointed as the chocolate is tiny and normally I eat like a horse!
Everyone at the centre is getting very excited. Presents are being wrapped and the children from Eaton School will be coming to put up the decorations as we prepare for Santa’s visits in the coming weeks.
My favourite part of Christmas is the songs, and I love "Jingle Bells”. There is a line about a "one horse open sleigh” I asked Alistair what it was, and he said it was a sleigh pulled by one horse. "Brilliant!” I said! "Maybe I can help Santa this year?” Alistair said Santa uses reindeers not horses, and they can fly. Well….. I’ve never tried flying, but I might have a go later, I think I’ll need a long run up!
So what’s happening here, well we have Breakfast with Santa, where the lovely children get to see Santa whilst they have their breakfast and he even brings them a present. The only people I see when I am eating my breakfast are Alistair and Loyal!
We also have two free entry weekends. I asked Alistair about it as it didn’t sound right that people were getting to see me, the National Champion for free! Well, he said it was right and not only that but many people will be walking around in colourful Christmas Jumpers as there would be a competition each day for the best jumper. "Great!” I said, "Can I judge it?”. Alistair said no, Santa was doing it, seems like he has his hands full! I will hang around in case he wants a second opinion.
If you are visiting over the next few weeks, don’t forget to say "Hi”.
