Anna's Chrismas Blog

Hello and Merry Christmas,

It’s me Anna, with a quick festive update.

I have opened almost all the stable doors on my advent calendar which can only mean one thing, It’s Christmas!

We have had a very festive couple of weeks here at the centre as Santa has been hosting breakfast for loads of children and families.  It was fantastic!  Santa is really nice, I got chatting to him about his reindeer.  I said Rudolph must be getting old now, I could take over if you like? He said thanks for the offer, but Shire Horses can’t fly even when you sprinkle them with magic dust.  Oh well, I guess my feet are staying firmly on the ground.

I nipped into the shop at the centre for a bit of last-minute Christmas shopping, it is brilliant in there, they have postcards, keyrings and notebooks all with pictures of me on them! I pretty much cleared the place out of things with me on them, can’t wait to see Alistar’s face when he opens his pressies on Christmas day.

I was asking the other horses what they wanted, Spirit said she wanted a healthy foal, she is due in February.  My little Sister Loyal said she wanted some ribbon for her appearance at the National Shire Horse Show in March.  I will also be there to hopefully keep my crown as National Female Shire Horse Champion, wish me luck!

I overheard Alistair saying that we also have piglets due early in the new year, so I hope that all goes well.  They are so much fun when they start running around, they really keep us on our toes!

Well, I better go, I have a few last minute things to do before the big day, I hope you all have a lovely time over Christmas and I can’t wait to have a catch up where you can tell me about what Santa brought for you.
